Which leagues is the app built for?
It's used by coaches across Little League, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, JBO, travel ball, and rec baseball and softball leagues. It works for any youth team that rotates positions and cares about fair playing time.
What devices does Stack the Lineup run on?
Stack the Lineup is a native app for iPhone and iPad. It is not currently available on Android or as a web app.
Do I need an internet connection to use it?

Building a lineup
What does Auto-Fill do?
Auto-Fill is a Pro feature that fills your open defensive positions automatically while checking every fair-play rule. You can fill a single inning or innings one through six at once. Positions you've already assigned are never changed, and Auto-Fill honors each player's position preferences when they're set.
What are position preferences?
Position preferences let you tag each player per position as a Strength, Capable, Emergency, or Never. Auto-Fill prioritizes Strength and Capable positions, uses Emergency only as a last resort, and never assigns a position marked Never.
What are fair-play warnings?
Fair-play warnings flag problems before the game starts, including missing infield innings, back-to-back bench, catcher-to-pitcher violations, and player overuse. When every player meets the requirements, the app shows an all-clear so you know the lineup is fair.
How do I set my batting order?
On the Lineup tab, tap Edit in the section header, then press and hold the lines on the right side of any row and drag up or down. Your batting order is kept from week to week so you start ahead.
Imports, exports & history
Can I import my roster from GameChanger?
Yes. You can import your roster from a GameChanger CSV file, add players one at a time, or paste your whole roster at once. You don't have to retype every name and jersey number.
Can I export or print my lineup?
Yes. You can export a clean batting order and defensive position grid as a PDF to print or share. Many coaches bring the printed PDF to the field so they don't need their phone in the dugout.
Does the app track playing time across the season?
Yes. When a game ends you archive it to History. Season stats track innings played, bench time, and position spread per player across every archived game. Full game history is part of Pro.
Can I coach more than one team?
Yes. With Pro you can manage multiple teams and switch between rosters, keeping each season organized on its own.
Privacy
Is my team's data private?
Yes. Stack the Lineup stores your roster and lineups on your device. There's no account to create, and the app doesn't sell your data or show ads. See the
Privacy Policy for full details.
